Arshad Ali Chaudhry

Arshad Ali is a British-Kashmiri writer and keen history observer, born in Dadyal, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. He migrated to England as a child with his family, where he completed his secondary education before pursuing higher studies. Arshad holds a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Manchester and a BA in Russian History from Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett University).

With a profound interest in the Islamic history of the Caucasus region, Arshad has dedicated many years to in depth research, particularly following the collapse of the Soviet Union. His academic pursuits took him to Russia and Estonia, where he gained invaluable insights into the region’s historical and cultural dynamics.

In addition to his scholarly contributions, Arshad is a passionate advocate for the Kashmiri people, actively raising awareness about their ongoing struggle for freedom from Indian occupation. His work reflects a commitment to preserving history and amplifying the voices of those who strive for justice and self-determination.
